You may have heard of Rank Math if you have a WordPress site. It’s a well-known and powerful SEO app that gives you a lot of free tools for improving your site. The modular design of Rank Math makes it stand out. You can choose which features to use or not use, based on the needs of your site. But there are so many parts that it’s easy to get confused. Which ones should you use? Which ones can you skip?
The new 2025 tutorial can be found here: Rank Math SEO Modules REVIEWED (Which Ones You Actually Need!). This blog post breaks down each Rank Math module in easy-to-understand steps. This guide will help you decide what to show and what not to show, no matter how skilled you are as a site owner.
Rank Math Modules: What Are They?
They are like small feature sets in Rank Math. You can only turn on the ones you need. This helps your WordPress site stay light and quick. You can leave off modules like Local SEO and WooCommerce-specific ones if you don’t need them.
Let’s go over each part, tell you what it does, and help you decide if you want to turn it on or off.
1. An SEO Analysis
This tool gives your website a thorough SEO check. It looks for common SEO mistakes like pictures that aren’t optimized, URLs that are too long, and missing meta tags. Get a number and a list of things that could be done better.
Use it? Of course. This tool is a great way to find easy wins. After big changes, run it often.
2. Google Search Console
This makes a straight link between your site and your Google Search Console account. Inside your WordPress dashboard, it shows keyword rankings, errors, and info on how well your site is doing.
Use it? Yes. This is very important if you want to see how your content is doing in search results.
3. Rank Tracker (Pro Only)
You can see how your keywords rank over time with this tool. For this function, you’ll need to pay for the app.
Use it? This is helpful if you want to keep an eye on keyword positions and SEO success over time. Anyway, Google Search Console already gives you the most important information for free.
4. Content AI (Pro Only)
Rank Math’s Content AI looks at your topic and offers keywords, headings, FAQs, and ways to make your site better. It even gives you writing tips, like how many words or links you should have.
Use it? It’s nice to have for bloggers and people who make material. You should turn it on if you write a lot and want SEO help.
5. 404 Monitor
It keeps track of when people or search engines click on 404 pages, which are links that don’t work. It keeps track of the mistakes so you can fix them.
Use it? Yes. Broken links are bad for SEO and make people mad. This speeds up the catch.
6. Redirections
This module makes it easy to set up and handle 301 or 302 redirects from your dashboard. It works well with the 404 Monitor.
Use it? Of course. It’s important if you delete information or change URLs.
7. Image SEO
On its own, or based on your chosen formats, this adds ALT tags and title attributes to your pictures.
Use it? Yes. It helps with SEO and usability, especially if you forget to add alt text by hand.
8. Local SEO
As a local business, this adds schema markup like your location, phone number, and map. Google will find you more easily if you do this.
Use it? Yes, but only if you have a storefront or provide services in your area.
9. Sitemap
An XML sitemap for your site is made by the Sitemap tool. You can also make sitemaps for news or video if you need to.
Use it? All the time. Google needs sitemaps to get to your pages and crawl them.
10. Schema (Structured Data)
This tool lets you add schema markup for things like reviews, FAQs, recipes, products, and more. It makes it more likely that search engines will show you interesting snippets.
Use it? Yes. Structured data makes your site more visible in Google.
11. SEO for WooCommerce
This plugin is made to work with WooCommerce sites. It adds product structure and makes product pages work better.
Use it? This is only true if you use WooCommerce to run an online business.
12. Breadcrumbs
With this, you can add breadcrumb links to your theme. Users and Google can both use breadcrumbs to figure out how your site is organized.
Use it? Yes. Breadcrumbs help people find their way around and for SEO.
13. Role Manager
Choose which Rank Math settings can be accessed by who. This is helpful if you have more than one person or editor.
Use it? Yes, if you’re with other people. For single site owners, it’s not needed.
14. AMP (Accelerated Mobile Pages)
This package makes it possible for Rank Math to work correctly with AMP.
Use it? Only if AMP is used by your theme or setup. If not, don’t wear it.
15. BuddyPress and bbPress
These modules make forums and groups made with bbPress or BuddyPress better for SEO.
Use it? If either of those apps are already on your site, then yes.
16. Analytics (Pro Only)
Stats on traffic, impressions, click-through rate (CTR), and keyword ranks inside WordPress.
Use it? This is the right choice if you want an SEO panel that has everything you need. If not, Google Analytics + GSC will also work.
17. Instant Indexing
This helps you send your content to Bing and Google right away, if they allow it. This is helpful for news or information that needs to be seen quickly.
Use it? Yes, if you post a lot or depend on indexing to happen quickly.
